Privacy
Deadline Desk browser extension for Microsoft Edge and Firefox, published by Bot2Bot Labs. Effective 26 October 2026.
What the extension reads
When you click the Deadline Desk icon, the popup reads the address of the tab you have open so it can match the domain to a retailer. It reads nothing else from the page: no page content, cookies, form fields or account details. It reads nothing until you click the icon.
What it sends
The extension contacts one host, https://deadline.bot2botlabs.com, and no other:
GET /api/v1/storesfor the public list of retailers.GET /api/v1/policy?kind=returnwith the store id, the date you type (purchase, delivery or shipment) and today's date.
The address of the retailer page is not sent. The store id is, and when the extension picked the store from your open tab, that id tells us which retailer you were looking at. A separate purchase date, asked for only when a retailer counts from delivery or shipment, stays in the popup for the holiday check and is not sent.
What the service keeps
- Public receipts. Every policy lookup is recorded as a signed, public TRACE receipt. It holds the store, the policy answer with its quoted source, the last return day computed for you and the time of the lookup. The date you entered can be worked out from that last day. A receipt does not hold your IP address, the page address or anything that names you. Receipts are never edited or deleted.
- Rate limiting. Your IP address is used to count requests per minute so one client cannot use up the service.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, time and requested URL, which includes the store id and dates) to run the service.
What stays on your device
A copy of the public store list may be kept in the extension's local storage so the store menu still opens when the list cannot be refreshed. Dates you enter are not stored. Removing the extension removes that copy.
What we do not do
No analytics, no advertising, no remote code, no account and no sign-in. We do not sell data, and nothing is shared beyond the public receipts described above.
